Immobilized Vanadium Histidine and Tryptophan Schiff Base Complexes on Modified Magnetite Nanoparticles as Epoxidation Catalyst

TL;DR: In this paper, magnetically recoverable vanadium complexs designated as VO(Sal-Tryp)/AmpSCMNPs and VO (Sal-His)/AmPSCMNP were found to catalyze the epoxidation of allyl alcohols and olefins with tert-butyl hydroperoxide with excellent conversions and selectivities.

Spectral study of the interaction between 2-pyridinecarbaldehyde-p-phenyldihydrazone and ferric iron and its analytical application.

TL;DR: The synthesis and spectral characterization of a schiff base, 2-pyridinecarbaldehyde-p-phenylenedihydrazone, found that ferric ion (Fe(3+)) could selectively quench the fluorescence of 2PC-PPH, whereas many other metal ions could not quench its fluorescence.

Effect of Nanospace Confinement on the Catalytic Activity and Stability of a Chiral Schiff Base Complex (CuL; L=C22H24N2O4): A Combined Experimental and Theoretical Study

TL;DR: It is demonstrated how self-decomposition and bimetallic formation disrupt the catalytic activity of a homogeneous catalyst by exploiting the special structure of faujasite zeolite, which is fully controlled and efficiently used for the asymmetric nitroaldol reaction.
