High accuracy position response calibration method for a micro-channel plate ion detector
Ran Hong,Ran Hong,A. Leredde,Y. Bagdasarova,Xavier Flechard,A. García,P. Müller,Andreas Knecht,E. Liénard,M. Kossin,Matthew Sternberg,H. E. Swanson,David Zumwalt +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, a position response calibration method for a micro-channel plate (MCP) detector with a delay-line anode position readout scheme was developed, which achieved an accuracy of 8~$\mu$m and a resolution of 85~$ \mu $m (FWHM) for MeV-scale particles and ions with energies of $10~keV.

Investigation of ion-atom collision dynamics through imaging techniques
Xinwen Ma,Xiaolong Zhu,Huiping Liu,Bin Li,Shaofeng Zhang,ShiPing Cao,Wentian Feng,Shenyue Xu +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the recoil ion momentum spectroscopy built at the Institute of Modern Physics (Lanzhou) was analyzed for 30 keV He2+ on He collision, and it was found that the capture of single electron occurs dominantly into the first excited states, and related scattering angle results showed that the ground state capture occurs at large impact parameters, while the capture into excited states occurs at small impact parameters.

Energy-Dependent Photoemission Time Delays of Noble Gas Atoms Using Coincidence Attosecond Streaking
Claudio Cirelli,Mazyar Sabbar,Sebastian Heuser,Robert Boge,Matteo Lucchini,Lukas Gallmann,Ursula Keller +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors present photoemission time-delay measurements between electrons originating from the valence shells of neon and argon obtained by attosecond streaking, and they show that the temporal structure of the ionizing single attoscond pulse may significantly affect the obtained time delays, and propose a procedure to take this contribution properly into account.

Separating Dipole and Quadrupole Contributions to Single-Photon Double Ionization.
Sven Grundmann,Florian Trinter,Alexander Bray,Sebastian Eckart,Jonas Rist,G. Kastirke,D. Metz,S. Klumpp,Jens Viefhaus,L. Ph. H. Schmidt,Joshua B. Williams,Reinhard Dörner,Till Jahnke,Markus Schöffler,Anatoli Kheifets +14 more
TL;DR: This work reports on a kinematically complete measurement of double ionization of helium by a single 1100 eV circularly polarized photon and shows the separation of dipole and quadrupole contributions to photo-double-ionization and provides new insight into the nature of the quasifree mechanism.

Can Quantum-Mechanical Description of Physical Reality Be Considered Complete?
TL;DR: Consideration of the problem of making predictions concerning a system on the basis of measurements made on another system that had previously interacted with it leads to the result that one is led to conclude that the description of reality as given by a wave function is not complete.
