Mesure de la déformabilité des sols in situ à l'aide d'un essai de chargement statique d'une pointe pénétrométrique
TL;DR: In this paper, a new method of soil deformability measurement using a penetrometer is presented, which is based on a monotonic static loading test using a Penetrometer.
Journal ArticleDOI
Model tests for observing the deformation characteristics of micropile boreholes during drilling in a soil-limestone mixture
Chunye Ying,Chunye Ying,Xinli Hu,Sumi Siddiqua,Gehad Mohamed Hossam Makeen,Gehad Mohamed Hossam Makeen,Xia Peng,Xu Chu,Wang Qiang +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the deformation of micropile boreholes during rotary drilling in a compacted soil-limestone mixture (S-LM) was investigated by developing model tests.

A numerical study of the suitability of rigid inclusion ground reinforcement beneath caisson quay walls
TL;DR: In this article, the authors evaluated the suitability of rigid inclusions for ground reinforcement of a caisson quay wall functioning as a container terminal and found that for a firm clay subsoil condition the proposed RI ground reinforcement scheme met the foundation performance criteria for this structural application provided (i) strategies to limit lateral loading were implemented and (ii) the RIs were reinforced over the length where they were not fully compressed.

The Random Finite Element Method (RFEM) in Bearing Capacity Analyses
Gordon A. Fenton,D. V. Griffiths +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used random field theory and elasto-plastic finite dement analysis to evaluate the extent to which spatial variability and cross-correlation in soil properties (c and ϕ) affect bearing capacity.
