TLDR
Ex expression profiling is used to show that activated neonatal skin melanocytes isolated following a melanomagenic UVB dose bear a distinct, persistent interferon response signature, including genes associated with immunoevasion, identifying a novel candidate therapeutic target for a subset of melanoma patients.

Cancer Immunoediting: Integrating Immunity’s Roles in Cancer Suppression and Promotion

TL;DR: A unifying conceptual framework called “cancer immunoediting,” which integrates the immune system’s dual host-protective and tumor-promoting roles is discussed.

Macrophage biology in development, homeostasis and disease

TL;DR: This Review discusses how macrophage regulate normal physiology and development, and provides several examples of their pathophysiological roles in disease, and defines the ‘hallmarks’ of macrophages according to the states that they adopt during the performance of their various roles.

IFN- γ –related mRNA profile predicts clinical response to PD-1 blockade

TL;DR: The T cell–inflamed GEP contained IFN-&ggr;–responsive genes related to antigen presentation, chemokine expression, cytotoxic activity, and adaptive immune resistance, and these features were necessary, but not always sufficient, for clinical benefit.

Interferon-Gamma at the Crossroads of Tumor Immune Surveillance or Evasion

TL;DR: The current knowledge on the pro- and antitumorigenic effects of IFN-γ as part of the complex immune response to cancer is discussed, highlighting the relevance to identify IFn-γ responsive patients for the improvement of therapies that exploit associated signaling pathways.

Interferon-γ: an overview of signals, mechanisms and functions

TL;DR: The current understanding of IFN‐γ ligand, receptor, ignal transduction, and cellular effects with a focus on macrophage responses and to a lesser extent, responses from other cell types that influence macrophages function during infection are reviewed.

Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Solutions Using R and Bioconductor

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a detailed case study of R algorithms with publicly available data, and a major section of the book is devoted to fully worked case studies, with a companion website where readers can reproduce every number, figure and table on their own computers.
