Jets at high $Q^2$ at HERA and test beam measurements with the EUDET pixel telescope

Jorg Behr
TLDR
In this article, the authors performed test-beam measurements with the EUDET pixel telescope and compared the single-point resolution and the detection efficiency with the expectation and found that the results were consistent with the expected.
Abstract
Test-beam measurements were performed with the EUDET pixel telescope. During the work for this thesis1, the online-monitoring software was improved, the Mimosa 26 sensors were integrated into the offline analysis software and the data taken with these sensors were analysed. The first data were taken with the demonstrator telescope together with three Mimosa 26 sensors that were operated as devices-under-test. The second data sample was taken with a telescope that consisted of six Mimosa 26 sensors, of which five could be used. The single-point resolution and the detection efficiency were determined and found to be consistent with the expectation. ∗University of Hamburg, DESY This report was published as part of a PhD thesis (DESY-THESIS-2010-038).

Performance of the EUDET-type beam telescopes

TL;DR: In this paper, the performance of the EUDET-type beam telescopes originally developed within the DESY project was evaluated using test beam measurements at the test beam facilities of DESY and the mean intrinsic resolution over the six sensors used was found to be (3.24 ± 0.09) µm.

Investigation of Properties of Novel Silicon Pixel Assemblies Employing Thin n-in-p Sensors and 3D-Integration

TL;DR: In this article, a pixel assembly concept for high energy physics experiments at the HL-LHC is investigated, which answers the challenges posed by the high instantaneous luminosities, resulting in high track densities and radiation damage.

Development of radiation hard pixel modules employing planar n-in-p silicon sensors with active edges for the ATLAS detector at HL-LHC

Stefano Terzo
TL;DR: In this paper, the properties of planar n-in-p silicon sensors with thicknesses ranging from 100 to 300 µm and employing active or slim edges are investigated to develop radiation hard pixel modules for the ATLAS experiment.
