Abstract
An experiment to probe the (quasi)localization of the photon is proposed, in which optical layers are constructed following the Fibonacci sequence. The transmission coefficient has a rich structure as a function of the wavelength of light and, in fact, is multifractal. For particular wavelengths for which the resonance condition is satisfied, the light propagation has scaling with respect to the number of layers, as well as an interesting fluctuation.

Parameterizing Quasiperiodicity: Generalized Poisson Summation and Its Application to Modified-Fibonacci Antenna Arrays

TL;DR: In this paper, an instructive example of wave interactions with quasiperiodic order is illustrated for one-dimensional (1D) array configurations based on the modified-Fibonacci sequence, with utilization of a two-scale generalization of the standard Poisson summation formula for periodic arrays.

Transmission properties of light through the Family B of generalized Thue–Morse multilayers

TL;DR: In this article, the transmission properties of light through the Family B of Generalized Thue-Morse (FBGTM(m)) aperiodic multilayers were studied and it was shown that for the normal incidence of light there exist three kinds of cases for propagation matrices and corresponding transmission coefficients.

Tailoring the transmission and absorption spectra in a graphene-dielectric multilayer system for Lorentzian profile in the chemical potential

TL;DR: In this article, a discrete Lorentzian profile for the chemical potential (μ g ) of a dielectric-graphene multilayer structure is proposed to modulate the transmission, reflection, and absorption spectra.
