TLDR
In this article, a model for the donor VXO and acceptor (VO, VGa) microstructure is proposed, where donors would be assembled in shallow clusters responsible for delocalized electron behavior with minority acceptors between.

A review of Ga2O3 materials, processing, and devices

TL;DR: The role of defects and impurities on the transport and optical properties of bulk, epitaxial, and nanostructures material, the difficulty in p-type doping, and the development of processing techniques like etching, contact formation, dielectrics for gate formation, and passivation are discussed in this article.

Functional Near Infrared-Emitting Cr3+/Pr3+ Co-Doped Zinc Gallogermanate Persistent Luminescent Nanoparticles with Superlong Afterglow for in Vivo Targeted Bioimaging

TL;DR: The synthesis of NIR-emitting long-persistent luminescent nanoparticles (LPLNPs) Zn2.94Ga1.96Ge2O10:Cr(3+),Pr(3+) by a citrate sol-gel method in combination with a subsequent reducing atmosphere-free calcination and PEGylation greatly improves the biocompatibility and water solubility of the LPLNPS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrical conductivity and carrier concentration control in β-Ga2O3 by Si doping

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that the electrical conductivity of β-Ga2O3 can be intentionally controlled over three orders of magnitude by Si doping, which corresponds to a 25% to 50% effective Si donors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Review of gallium-oxide-based solar-blind ultraviolet photodetectors

TL;DR: A comprehensive review of solar-blind photodetectors based on gallium oxide (Ga2O3) materials in various forms of bulk single crystal, epitaxial films, nanostructures, and their ternary alloys is presented in this paper.

Efficient Assembly of Bridged β-Ga2O3 Nanowires for Solar-Blind Photodetection

TL;DR: In this paper, a bridged β-Ga 2 O 3 nanowire-based photodetector was used for solar-blind photodeter detection, which has a high 250-to-280-nm rejection ratio, low photocurrent noise, and fast decay time.

Theory of the Effect of Spin-Orbit Coupling on Magnetic Resonance in Some Semiconductors

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of spin-orbit coupling on the usual band theory of electrons in a lattice is considered, and particular attention is given to the bands in impurity semiconductors with diamond-type structure.

The Basis of the Electron Theory of Metals, with Special Reference to the Transition Metals

TL;DR: In this paper, the collective electron and London-Heitler models are not to be regarded as different approximations to the same exact wave function for solids in which, according to the former model, there is a partially filled zone of energy levels.

Polarization of Nuclei in Metals

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that if the electron spin resonance of the conduction electrons is saturated, the nuclei will be polarized to the same degree they would be if their gyromagnetic ratio were that of electron spin.

Optical Absorption and Photoconductivity in the Band Edge of β − Ga 2 O 3

TL;DR: In this article, a model was proposed in which the absorption arises as a result of excitation of an electron from the oxygen $2p$ band to the gallium $4s$ band.

Kinetics of Radiative Recombination at Randomly Distributed Donors and Acceptors

TL;DR: In this article, the decay of the total pair emission has been measured over many factors of 10 of intensity and time and can be satisfactorily accounted for by the theory using only two adjustable parameters.
