TL;DR: Although these unexpected findings indicate the presence of an electron acceptor in addition to the heme iron atom, significant amounts of non-heme iron, other metals or cofactors, or disulfide bonds were not found, and free radicals were not detected by electron paramagnetic resonance spectrometry.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that EA causes a decrease in total hepatic P450 with a significant effect on hepatics P450 2E1, increases some hepatic phase II enzyme activities [GST, NAD-(P)H:QR and UDPGT] and decreases hepatic mEH expression, and inhibits the catalytic activity of some P450 isozymes in vitro.

TL;DR: The respiratory tract epithelium of dogs, from the nose to the lungs, was examined for cytochrome P-450 and associated biotransformation activities and hexamethyl-phosphoramide was shown to be metabolized by nasal microsomal enzymes to another nasal carcinogen, formaldehyde.
