Behavioural recovery in rats with bilateral 6-OHDA lesions following implantation of nigral cell suspensions

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors attempted to ameliorate this syndrome with single or multiple placements of nigral cell suspensions into the forebrains of rats with bilateral dopamine depletions, and the grafts were efficient in reversing the sensorimotor and akinetic impairments, and produced a significant increase in eating, but the grafted rats remained hypophagic and adipsic.

Fluorescence histochemical demonstration of peptides with nh2- or cooh-terminal tryptophan or dopa by condensation with glyoxylic acid

TL;DR: The glyoxylic acid treatment produced intense fluorescence in certain endocrine cell systems in pituitary, thyroid and gastric mucosa, previously suggested to store peptides with NH2-terminal tryptophan, and the present findings support this hypothesis.

Striatal Neuron Differentiation from Neurosphere-Expanded Progenitors Depends on Gsh2 Expression

TL;DR: An in vitro system in which expanded LGE-derived cells are differentiated in coculture with primary cells isolated from different regions of the embryonic brain is set up, and it is shown that the primary cells supply the expanded cells with contact-mediated region-specific developmental cues.
