Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of substrates in ZnO devices on the surface plasmon enhanced light emission

TL;DR: In this paper, a four-layered structure was proposed to recover plasmon mediated light emission enhancement from ZnO film on silicon substrate, based on the theoretical analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reductive hydrothermal synthesis of La(OH) 3 :Tb 3+ nanorods as a new green emitting phosphor

TL;DR: In this paper, a reductive hydrothermal process with use of hydrazine hydrate as a protecting agent is proposed to synthesize La(OH)3:Tb3+ (Tb mol% = 0, 1, 5, 10, and 20) nanorods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Germanium-doped Czochralski silicon for photovoltaic applications

TL;DR: In this paper, the Germanium-doped Czochralski (GCZ) silicon has been grown for photovoltaic (PV) applications and it is found that Ge doping improves the mechanical strength of CZ silicon, resulting in the reduction of breakage during wafer cutting, cell fabrication and module assembly.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystallization behaviors of TiO2 films derived from thermal oxidation of evaporated and sputtered titanium films

TL;DR: In this paper, it was found that the TiO 2 films formed by thermal oxidation of evaporated Ti films at 450-600°C were of rutile phase, while those derived from thermal oxidations of sputtered Ti films were of anatase phase.
Journal ArticleDOI

Grain boundary engineering of high performance multicrystalline silicon: Control of iron contamination at the ingot edge

TL;DR: In this article, the grain boundaries (GBs) are used to control the low carrier lifetime zone at the HPMC silicon ingot edges, based on the grain nucleation enhanced by silicon powder coating at the crucible walls.
