Gene-wide analysis detects two new susceptibility genes for Alzheimer's disease.

Valentina Escott-Price, +194 more
- 12 Jun 2014 -
TL;DR: The additional genes identified in this study, have an array of functions previously implicated in Alzheimer's disease, including aspects of energy metabolism, protein degradation and the immune system and add further weight to these pathways as potential therapeutic targets in Alzheimers disease.
Journal ArticleDOI

Convergent genetic and expression data implicate immunity in Alzheimer's disease

Lesley Jones, +208 more
TL;DR: Late‐onset Alzheimer's disease (AD) is heritable with 20 genes showing genome‐wide association in the International Genomics of Alzheimer's Project (IGAP), and this work extended these genetic data in a pathway analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis and type 2 diabetes mellitus: a systematic review and meta‐analysis

TL;DR: The association between psoriasis, PsA and type 2 diabetes mellitus is supported, and meta‐regression and sensitivity analyses explore sources of heterogeneity among the studies and found no significant influence in the results of the meta‐analyses.
