The Molecular Wind in the Nearest Seyfert Galaxy Circinus Revealed by ALMA
Laura K. Zschaechner,Fabian Walter,Alberto D. Bolatto,Emanuele Paolo Farina,J. M. Diederik Kruijssen,J. M. Diederik Kruijssen,Adam K. Leroy,Adam K. Leroy,David S. Meier,Jürgen Ott,Sylvain Veilleux +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present ALMA observations of the inner 1' (1.2 kpc) of the Circinus galaxy, the nearest Seyfert galaxy, and constrain the mass of the outflowing molecular gas to be 1.5e5 -5.1e6 solar masses, yielding a molecular outflow rate of 0.35-12.3 solar masses per year.
Galaxy Evolution and Star Formation Efficiency in the Last Half of the Universe
Francoise Combes,Santiago García-Burillo,Jonathan Braine,Eva Schinnerer,Fabian Walter,Luis Colina,Maryvonne Gerin +6 more
TL;DR: The results of a CO(1-0) emission survey with the IRAM 30m of 30 galaxies at moderate redshift (z ~ 0.2-0.6) to explore galaxy evolution and in particular the star formation efficiency are presented in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
The galaxy environment of a QSO at z ~ 5.7
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used deep narrow-and broadband imaging to study the environment of the z = 5.72 quasar ULAS J0203+0012 and found no enhancement of Lyman alpha emitters (LAEs) in comparison with blank fields.
Journal ArticleDOI
A deep search for molecular gas in two massive Lyman break galaxies at z=3 and 4: vanishing CO-emission due to low metallicity?
Qinghua Tan,Qinghua Tan,Emanuele Daddi,Mark Sargent,Georgios E. Magdis,Jacqueline Hodge,Matthieu Béthermin,Frédéric Bournaud,Chris Carilli,Helmut Dannerbauer,Mark Dickinson,David Elbaz,Yu Gao,Glenn Morrison,Frazer N. Owen,Maurilio Pannella,Dominik A. Riechers,Fabian Walter +17 more
TL;DR: In this paper, deep IRAM Plateau de Bure Interferometer (PdBI) observations were used to search for CO-emission toward two massive, non-lensed Lyman break galaxies (LBGs) at z=3.216 and 4.058.

Probing Early Super-massive Black Hole Growth and Quasar Evolution with Near-infrared Spectroscopy of 37 Reionization-era Quasars at 6.3 < z <= 7.64
Jinyi Yang,Feige Wang,Xiaohui Fan,Aaron J. Barth,Joseph F. Hennawi,Riccardo Nanni,Fuyan Bian,Frederick B. Davies,Emanuele Paolo Farina,Jan-Torge Schindler,Eduardo Bañados,Roberto Decarli,Anna-Christina Eilers,Richard F. Green,Hengxiao Guo,Linhua Jiang,Jiang-Tao Li,Bram Venemans,Fabian Walter,Xue-Bing Wu,Minghao Yue +20 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the results of near-infrared spectroscopic observations of 37 quasars in the redshift range $6.3 6.5, forming the largest quasar nearinfrared spectral sample at this redshift.
