Fusobacterium nucleatum Promotes Chemoresistance to Colorectal Cancer by Modulating Autophagy.

TL;DR: It is found that Fusobacterium (F.) nucleatum was abundant in colorectal cancer tissues in patients with recurrence post chemotherapy, and was associated with patient clinicopathological characterisitcs, and bioinformatic and functional studies demonstrated that F. nucleatum promoted coloreCTal cancer resistance to chemotherapy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of HLA-C Expression Level on HIV Control

TL;DR: It is demonstrated that increasing surface expression of HLA-C is associated with reduced viral load and reduced rate of progression to low CD4+ T cell counts in African and European Americans.
Journal ArticleDOI

Gut microbial profile is altered in primary biliary cholangitis and partially restored after UDCA therapy

TL;DR: Of interest was the finding that the increased capacity for the inferred pathway, bacterial invasion of epithelial cells in PBC, highly correlated with the abundance of bacteria belonging to Enterobacteriaceae.
Journal ArticleDOI

Long Noncoding RNA GAPLINC Regulates CD44-Dependent Cell Invasiveness and Associates with Poor Prognosis of Gastric Cancer

TL;DR: Findings implicating a novel lncRNA in gastric cancer, termed GAPLINC (gastric adenocarcinoma predictive long intergenic noncoding RNA), are reported based on the use of global microarray and in situ hybridization (ISH) analyses to identify aberrantly expressed lnc RNA in human Gastric cancer specimens.
