Journal ArticleDOI

Accurate RT-qPCR gene expression analysis on cell culture lysates.

TL;DR: An approach in which cDNA synthesis is carried out on crude cell lysates instead of on purified RNA samples can offer a fast and straightforward alternative to the classic workflow of RNA purification and c DNA synthesis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Neuroblastoma epigenetics: from candidate gene approaches to genome-wide screenings

TL;DR: This review gives an extensive overview of all epigenetic changes described in NB as of today, with a main focus on both prognostic use and the potential of genome-wide techniques to find epigenetic prognostic biomarkers in NB.
Journal ArticleDOI

Combined M-FISH and CGH analysis allows comprehensive description of genetic alterations in neuroblastoma cell lines.

TL;DR: It is shown that a combination of M‐FISH with banding analysis, standard FISH, and CGH allowed a detailed description of the genetic alterations in 16 neuroblastoma cell lines and the ATBF1 gene, an AT‐binding transcription factor involved in normal neurogenesis, was shown to be present in the amplicon.
Journal ArticleDOI

A constitutional translocation t(1;17)(p36.2;q11.2) in a neuroblastoma patient disrupts the human NBPF1 and ACCN1 genes.

TL;DR: Cl cloning of both translocation breakpoints and the identification of a novel gene that is disrupted by this translocation are reported, indicating a role for the NBPF genes and for ACCN1 in tumor aggressiveness.
