Elevated CSF and plasma complement proteins in genetic frontotemporal dementia: results from the GENFI study

Emma L. van der Ende, +145 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the value of complement proteins, which are key components of innate immunity, as biomarkers in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma of presymptomatic and symptomatic genetic FTD mutation carriers was determined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of differential tt¯ production cross sections in the full kinematic range using lepton+jets events from proton-proton collisions at s=13 TeV

Armen Tumasyan, +2329 more

Genetics and Expression Analysis of the Specificity Protein 4 Gene (SP4) inPatients with Alzheimer's Disease and Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration.

TL;DR: According to these results, SP4 gene does not act as a susceptibility factor either for AD or FTLD, however, Sp4 mRNA levels are upregulated in patients, possibly resulting in an aberrant expression of downstream target genes involved in the pathogenesis of both diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Asymptomatic Carriers of Presenilin-1 E318G Variant Show no Cerebrospinal Fluid Biochemical Signs Suggestive of Alzheimer's disease in a Family with Late-onset Dementia.

TL;DR: A large Italian family followed with the late-onset AD and the E318G variant from January 2003 to January 2018 may help elucidate E 318G's role in AD and globally points to a null effect of this variant.
