Journal ArticleDOI
An efficient perovskite solar cell with symmetrical Zn(II) phthalocyanine infiltrated buffering porous Al2O3 as the hybrid interfacial hole-transporting layer
Peng Gao,Kyung Taek Cho,Antonio Abate,Giulia Grancini,Paidi Yella Reddy,M. Srivasu,M. Adachi,A. Suzuki,K. Tsuchimoto,Michael Grätzel,Mohammad Khaja Nazeeruddin +10 more
TL;DR: Steady state and time-resolved photoluminescence measurements indicated an evenly matched hole extraction efficiency between sym-HTPcH and spiro-OMeTAD and a hysteresis test revealed that the device structure with the new HTM exhibited a balanced charge extraction behaviour.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and photophysical properties of trans-dithiocyanato bis(4,4′-dicarboxylic acid-2,2′-bipyridine) ruthenium(II) charge transfer sensitizer
TL;DR: In this article, the ruthenium complexes trans-[Ru(dcbpyH2)2(Cl)2] (1), trans-(Ru(dccpyH 2)2 (NCS)2 ] (2) and trans-(dcbiH 2 )(NCS 2 ) (3) were synthesized and characterized by UV-Vis absorption, emission, IR, and NMR spectroscopy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Growth Engineering of CH3NH3PbI3 Structures for High-Efficiency Solar Cells
TL;DR: In this article, the impact of chloride on the conversion of lead halide into CH3NH3PbI3, morphology, and coverage of perovskite structures using modified two-step approach is investigated systematically, which eventually dictates the overall performance of the resulting device.
Journal ArticleDOI
An inconvenient influence of iridium(III) isomer on OLED efficiency
Etienne Baranoff,Henk J. Bolink,Filippo De Angelis,Simona Fantacci,Simona Fantacci,Davide Di Censo,Karim Djellab,Michael Grätzel,Md. K. Nazeeruddin +8 more
TL;DR: DFT/TDDFT calculations show that the two isomers of N984 have different HOMO orbital characteristics, which could impact performances of vacuum processed OLEDs using heteroleptic cyclometallated iridium(III) complexes as dopant.
