Journal ArticleDOI

Functional Changes in the Language Network in Response to Increased Amyloid β Deposition in Cognitively Intact Older Adults

TL;DR: Higher activity in one region, the posterior left middle temporal gyrus, correlated positively with increased amyloid load, and offline naming reaction times correlated negatively with SUVR(comp), confirming findings of word finding symptoms in cognitively intact older adults.
Journal ArticleDOI

Parametric imaging and quantitative analysis of the PET amyloid ligand [(18)F]flutemetamol

TL;DR: Parametric imaging allows for quantification without introducing bias due to selection of anatomical regions, and thus enables objective statistical voxel-based comparisons of tracer binding, thus supporting its use as a simplified method for quantitative assessment oftracer uptake.
Journal ArticleDOI

Circadian sleep/wake-associated cells show dipeptide repeat protein aggregates in C9orf72-related ALS and FTLD cases.

TL;DR: The neuropathological findings show that pinealocytes and, to a lesser extent, SCN-related neurons are affected by DPR pathology, which may reflect an involvement of these cells in sleep/wake disturbances observed in ALS and/or FTLD-TDP patients.
