Journal ArticleDOI

Direct prospective comparison of 18F-FDG PET and arterial spin labelling MR using simultaneous PET/MR in patients referred for diagnosis of dementia

TL;DR: In a direct head-to-head comparison on a simultaneous GE Signa PET/MR, 18F-FDG PET performed better compared with ASL in terms of sensitivity and reader confidence, as well as volume and intensity of abnormalities, but ASL may still serve as complement to neuroreceptor or protein deposition PET studies when a single simultaneous investigation is warranted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Symptomatic internal carotid artery dissecting pseudoaneurysm: endovascular treatment by stent-graft

TL;DR: A case in which pseudoaneurysm volume enlarged progressively and new clinical symptoms developed 9 months following disease onset is reported, and placement of a coronary stent-graft resulted in immediate complete resolution of clinical symptoms and radiologic restoration of normal flow.
Journal ArticleDOI

Extended FTLD pedigree segregating a Belgian GRN -null mutation: neuropathological heterogeneity in one family

TL;DR: Comparisons with published clinical and neuropathological characteristics of other GRN mutations as well as other frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) syndromes show not only that the IVS1’+ 5G’> C mutation has an exclusive association with FTLD-TDP type A proteinopathy but also that other proteinopathies can occur and should be looked for.
