Journal Article

Thioredoxin specifically cross-desensitizes monocytes to MCP-1.

TL;DR: It is suggested that Trx inhibits monocyte responses to chemokines by acting downstream of the chemokine receptors, since there are high concentrations of circulating Trx in infection and inflammatory diseases, this might act as an inhibitor of monocyte migration in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI

The effect of Biostim (RU 41.740) on natural killer activity in different mouse organs.

TL;DR: It is shown that NK cells can also be a target of Biostim, and this results can contribute to a better understanding of the mode of action of this immunomodulator.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chronic inflammatory diseases: Do immunological patterns drive the choice of biotechnology drugs? A critical review

TL;DR: The purpose of this analysis is to address the most critical issues raised by the rapid advancements in this field over recent years, and to acknowledge the potentially valuable gains brought about by the increasing availability of these new biologic agents.

Dendritic Cells Production by Myeloid and Plasmacytoid Cutting Edge: Differential Chemokine

TL;DR: This article cites 29 articles, 18 of which you can access for free at: Subscriptions http://jimmunol.org/content/169/12/6673J Immunol€2002; 169:6673-6676; ;References

Up-Regulation of CCR1 and CCR3 and Induction of Chemotaxis to CC Chemokines by IFN-g in Human

TL;DR: The results suggest that the selectivity of certain chemokines for their target cells may be altered by cytokines produced within an inflammatory context.
