Journal ArticleDOI

Dendritic cells as a major source of macrophage-derived chemokine/CCL22 in vitro and in vivo.

TL;DR: Skin lesions of atopic dermatitis patients showed that CD1a+ or CD1b+ DC, and DC with a CD83+ phenotype were responsible for MDC production in this Th2‐oriented disorder, indicating that DC are the predominant source of MDC in vitro and in vivo under a variety of experimental and clinical conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI

Differential migration behavior and chemokine production by myeloid and plasmacytoid dendritic cells.

TL;DR: P- DCs appear to produce preferentially proinflammatory chemokines, but to respond selectively to homeostatic ones, whereas the reverse is true for M-DCs, highlighting not only the different migratory properties of these DC subsets, but also their capacity to recruit different cell types at inflammation sites.
Journal ArticleDOI

Uncoupling of inflammatory chemokine receptors by IL-10: generation of functional decoys.

TL;DR: It is reported that concomitant exposure to proinflammatory signals and IL-10 generates functional decoy receptors in the chemokine system, which act as molecular sinks and scavengers for inflammatory chemokines in an inflammatory environment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interleukin 10 Increases CCR5 Expression and HIV Infection in Human Monocytes

TL;DR: IL-10–stimulated monocytes are more efficiently infected by HIV BaL and add support to an emerging paradigm in which pro- and antiinflammatory molecules exert reciprocal and opposing influence on chemokine agonist production and receptor expression.
