Journal Article

Migration of dendritic cells in response to formyl peptides, C5a, and a distinct set of chemokines.

TL;DR: FMLP, C5a, and the C-C chemokines monocyte chemotactic protein (MCP)-3, MIP-1 alpha/LD78, and RANTES elicited chemotact migration and a rise of intracellular free calcium in dendritic cells, and Chemoattractants were inactive as chemoattractant.
Journal ArticleDOI

1,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D3 selectively modulates tolerogenic properties in myeloid but not plasmacytoid dendritic cells.

TL;DR: Interestingly, 1,25(OH)2D3 inhibited NF-κB p65 phosphorylation and nuclear translocation in M-DCs but not P-DC’s, suggesting a mechanism for the inability of 1, 25(OH), 2D3 to modulate tolerogenic properties in P- DCs.
Journal ArticleDOI

Induction of natural killer cell migration by monocyte chemotactic protein−1, −2 and −3

TL;DR: Investigation of the responsiveness of NK cells to the prototypic C‐C chemokine, monocyte chemotactic protein‐1 (MCP‐1) found that it induced migration across filters of interleukin (IL)‐2‐activated NK cells, whereas it was a weak attractant for unstimulated cells.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemerin expression marks early psoriatic skin lesions and correlates with plasmacytoid dendritic cell recruitment.

TL;DR: Chemerin expression specifically marks the early phases of evolving skin psoriatic lesions and is temporally strictly associated with pDC, which support a role for the chemerin/ChemR23 axis in theEarly phases of psoriasis development.
