Natural killer cells and innate lymphoid cells 1 tune anxiety-like behavior and memory in mice via interferon-γ and acetylcholine
Stefano Garofalo,Germana Cocozza,Alessandro Mormino,Giovanni Bernardini,Eleonora Russo,Donald Ielpo,Diego Andolina,Rossella Ventura,Katiuscia Martinello,Massimiliano Renzi,Sergio Fucile,Mattia Laffranchi,Eva Piano Mortari,Rita Carsetti,Giuseppe Sciumè,Silvano Sozzani,Angela Santoni,Marie-Ève Tremblay,Richard M. Ransohoff,Cristina Limatola +19 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the populations of resident natural killer (NK) cells and innate lymphoid cells (ILC) 1 in the meningeal dura layer of adult mice were characterized, and it was shown that ILC1/NK cell-derived interferon-γ and acetylcholine can contribute to the modulation of brain homeostatic functions.

Methods of identifying modulators of ChemerinR polypeptides
Valérie Wittamer,Jean-Francois Mirjolet,Isabelle Migeotte,David Communi,Alberto Mantovani,Silvano Sozzani,Marisa Vulcano,Jean-Denis Franssen,Stéphane Brézillon,Michel Detheux,Gilbert Vassart,Marc Parmentier,Emmanuel Le Poul +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a G-protein coupled receptor and a novel ligand were proposed for the identification of candidate compounds which modulate the activity of the G-Paired receptor, as well as assays useful for the diagnosis and treatment of a disease or disorder related to the dysregulation of G protein coupled receptor signaling.
into inflamed tissues The role of chemerin in the co-localization of NK and dendritic cell subsets
Silvano Sozzani,David Communi,Marc Parmentier,Alessandra Majorana,Marina Sironi,Silvia Parolini,Amerigo Santoro,Emanuela Marcenaro,Walter Luini,Luisa Massardi,Fabio Facchetti +10 more
TL;DR: A role for the ChemR23/chemerin axis in the recruitment of blood NK cells is proposed and strongly implicate chemerin as a key factor for the co-localization of NK cells and DC subsets in pathological peripheral tissues.

Journal ArticleDOI
The chemerin/CMKLR1 axis regulates intestinal graft-versus-host disease
Erica Dander,Paola Vinci,Stefania Vetrano,Camilla Recordati,Rocco Piazza,Grazia Fazio,Donatella Bardelli,Mattia Bugatti,Francesca Sozio,Andrea Piontini,Sonia Bonanomi,Luca Bertola,Elena Tassistro,Maria Grazia Valsecchi,Stefano Calza,William Vermi,Andrea Biondi,Annalisa Del Prete,Silvano Sozzani,Giovanna D'Amico +19 more
TL;DR: Chemerin is a chemotactic protein that recruits leukocytes to inflamed tissues by interacting with ChemR23/CMKLR1 as discussed by the authors , and Chemerin plasma levels were strongly increased in allo-BMtransplanted mice.
