Journal ArticleDOI

An integrated physical map of 18p11.2: a susceptibility region for bipolar disorder.

TL;DR: To facilitate positional cloning of a susceptibility gene, a combination of mapping reagents was used to construct a high resolution physical map of the region including sequence tag sites (STSs) and expressed sequence tags (ESTs), which will be an important tool in providing loci for contig construction and positional candidates for mutation screening.
Journal ArticleDOI

Deletion of a consensus oestrogen response element half-site in the glucocorticoid receptor of human multiple myeloma

TL;DR: An amplified fragment from the 3′ untranslated region displayed an aberrant migration by PCR–single‐stranded conformational polymorphism (PCR‐SSCP) analysis, and the mutant allele had a deletion of an 8 base pair sequence containing a half‐site of an oestrogen response element.
Journal ArticleDOI

Association of transcription factor gene LMX1B with autism.

TL;DR: This is the first report on the association of LMX1B with autism, though it should be viewed with some caution considering the modest associations reported, and is likely to be mediated through a seretoninergic mechanism.
