Progressive failure prediction of a landing gear structure of braided composites

TL;DR: In this paper, two simplified methods for progressive failure prediction of structures made of braided composites, mainly subjected to uniaxial in-plane loading or bending, were proposed, in order to bypass the complexity associated with meso- and micro-mechanics without losing much accuracy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Theoretical Investigation of 19F NMR Chemical Shielding of Alkaline-Earth-Metal and Alkali-Metal Fluorides

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of the effective core potentials of LanL2DZ and CRENBL basis sets for metal atoms were compared to 3-21G all-electron basis set.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nitrogen-sensitized dual phase titanate/titania for visible-light driven phenol degradation

TL;DR: A dual-phase material (DP-160) comprising hydrated titanate (H2Ti3O7·xH2O) and anatase (TiO2) was synthesized in a low-temperature one-pot process in the presence of triethylamine (TEA) as the N-source.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies of Scotopic/Photopic Ratios for Color-Tunable White Light-Emitting Diodes

TL;DR: In this paper, three-and four-hump InGaN-based white light-emitting diodes (LEDs) have been computationally investigated and the results show scotopic/photopic (S/P) ratios 3.80 and color rendering indices (CRI) ≥ 70 for three-Hump LEDs and 3.90 and CRI < 70 for fourhump LEDs under a correlated color temperature (CCT) of 45 000 K.
Journal ArticleDOI

An investigation into different nickel and nickel–phosphorus stacked thin coatings for the corrosion protection of electrical contacts

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the corrosion performance of Ni/Au (NA), Ni/P/Ni/Ni+Au(PNA), PNPA, Ni/Ni-P/NPA (NPA), NPA, and Ni-P+Ni−P−Ni+P−Au layers for electrical contact application.
