Journal ArticleDOI

Durable easy-cleaning and antibacterial cotton fabrics using fluorine-free silane coupling agents and CuO nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article, a facile synthesis technique for the fabrication of super-hydrophobic antibacterial fabrics by employing fluorine-free silane coupling agents as cross-linkers for enhanced durability was reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrophoretic deposition of titanate nanotube films with extremely large wetting contrast

TL;DR: A facile electrophoretic deposition (EPD) process has been developed to prepare thin films consisting of titanate nanotubes (TNTs) that were synthesized by a hydrothermal approach as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

The Self-Passivation Mechanism in Degradation of BiVO4 Photoanode

TL;DR: Investigations carried out here in 0.1 M Na2SO4 electrolyte showed that degradation is by dissolution of V in the electrolyte while Bi is retained on the anode probably in the form of solid Bi oxide (Bi2O3, Bi4O7), which leads to passivation from further degradation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Facile integration of multiple magnetite nanoparticles for theranostics combining efficient MRI and thermal therapy

TL;DR: A facile way to transfer the hydrophobic iron oxide (IO) nanoparticles into aqueous media by employing carboxylic graphene oxide (GO-COOH) as the transferring agent has been reported.
Journal ArticleDOI

A multifunctional and environmentally-friendly method to fabricate superhydrophilic and self-healing coatings for sustainable antifogging

TL;DR: In this paper, a transparent antifogging film was successfully prepared on glass by spin-coating a mixture of poly(acrylic acid) (PAA), carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and iron (III) chloride hexahydrate (FeCl3·6H2O).
