New mechanisms of void growth in Au–Al wire bonds: Volumetric shrinkage and intermetallic oxidation

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined void nucleation and coalescence in Au-Al wire bonds using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and found that void formation is not only attributed to Kirkendall-type migration as conventionally believed, but also due to volumetric shrinkage and intermetallic oxidation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Multi-functional hybrid protonated titanate nanobelts with tunable wettability

TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the preparation of millimetre-sized liquid marbles with strong mechanical strength and good deformability using self-assembled fluoroalkyl-silane functionalized titanate nanobelt powder.
Journal ArticleDOI

Titanium Diffusion into (K0.5Na0.5)NbO3 Thin Films Deposited on Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si Substrates and Corresponding Effects

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the Ti diffusion on the structure and electrical properties of lead-free NbO3 thin films was investigated by secondary ion mass spectroscopy depth profile and X-ray photo-electron spectrograph surface analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Intermolecular single-quantum coherence sequences for high-resolution NMR spectra in inhomogeneous fields

TL;DR: A new pulse sequence based on intermolecular single-quantum coherences (iSQCs) is proposed to obtain high-resolution NMR spectroscopy in inhomogeneous magnetic fields via fast 2D acquisition and can recover useful information of chemical shifts, relative peak areas, J coupling constants, and multiplet patterns even when the field inhomogeneity is severe enough to erase almost all spectroscopic information.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hard TiCx/SiC/a-C:H nanocomposite thin films using pulsed high energy density plasma focus device

TL;DR: In this article, the conventional hollow copper anode of Mather type plasma focus device was replaced by solid titanium anode for synthesis of TiCx/SiC/a-C:H nanocomposite thin films using CH4:Ar admixture of (1:9, 3:7 and 5:5) for fixed 20 focus shots as well as with different number of focus shots with fixed CH 4:Ar ada-ixture ratio fixed at 3.7 XRD results showed the formation of crystalline SiC phases for thin film synthesized using different
