TL;DR: A model of the interconnection of CoPs ICP to support knowledge sharing and dissemination and a specific knowledge management tool for the ICP knowledge base is applied to university tutors.
Abstract: In their daily practice, practitioners belong to local communities of practice CoPs within their organisation. This knowledge is rarely capitalised upon because discussions are mainly verbal. Practitioners can also belong to general CoPs online. Within these general CoPs, discussions are rarely linked to the context in which they appeared, since the members are from different companies or institutions. This paper 1 connects these two levels of CoPs by contacting practitioners belonging to CoPs centred on the same general activity but who are geographically distributed and 2 capitalises on the produced knowledge by contextualising, allowing it to be accessible and reusable by all the members. The authors detail the main results of the research: 1 a model of the interconnection of CoPs ICP to support knowledge sharing and dissemination; and 2 a specific knowledge management tool for the ICP knowledge base. The authors apply the model and platform to university tutors by: 1 developing a use case, which links the model and the TE-Cap 2 platform and highlights the new possibilities offered by the knowledge management tool; and 2 conducting a descriptive investigation lasting for five months.

TL;DR: In this paper, the environmental and socioeconomic consequences of hydraulic infrastructural changes along the Senegal River valley and estuary are examined, after on-site measurements (topometry, water salinity, piezometry), analysis of hydrological data, field observations, and surveys with dam managers, state regional directions, and local stakeholders.
Abstract: This article examines the environmental and socioeconomic consequences of hydraulic infrastructural changes along the Senegal River valley and estuary. During the 1980s, two dams were built along the valley floor to facilitate hydroelectrical production and regular water supply for crop irrigation. In 2003, a breach was dug across Barbary Spit to alleviate flooding in the nearby Saint-Louis city. Although these structures helped regulate the river flow, they also resulted in a series of unforeseen impacts. The study examines these, after on-site measurements (topometry, water salinity, piezometry), analysis of hydrological data, field observations, and surveys with dam managers, state regional directions, and local stakeholders. It stresses the urgency of elaborating models of hydraulic management to limit the negative consequences of the hydraulic constructions. These models should consider the variety of water uses in the middle valley and delta, and also the water safety and quality (salinity) downrive...

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a detailed analysis of the history of the doline de Pech Merle, a grotte-abri localisee a 800 metres de l’entree prehistorique de the grottes de Pec Merle.

TL;DR: A framework and a dynamic dashboard for PBL situations are proposed to help learners to collect, analyze and visualize the meaningful traces of their activities by them-selves.
Abstract: Most Learning Management Systems (LMS) focus on providing rich learning materials to the learners but rarely offer possibilities to monitor and analyze their learning processes. However metacognitive strategies argue that learners can improve their learning performances by monitoring their activities, especially in the context of Project-Based Learning (PBL). Our work consists in designing tools to support metacognitive strategies. In this paper, a framework and a dynamic dashboard for PBL situations are proposed to help learners to collect, analyze and visualize the meaningful traces of their activities by them-selves. The proposed framework integrates activity traces (interactions with the LMS) and reporting traces (semi-structured sentences written by the learners). The dynamic dashboard supports learners in the creation customizable indicators through a user-friendly interface.

TL;DR: The study of France Telecom Lyon enables us to precise the model by confronting it to a concrete situation and evaluate the possible value induced by the more innovative King of IT uses.
Abstract: The appraisal of economic or strategic added-value of Intranet technologies is a very difficult exercise. Sructurationnists shed light on this problem by considering IT uses at two levels. The first one which corresponds to appropriation first degree, that is to say the sense an individual gives to IT when he uses it. The second level, linked to appropriation second degree, lays in considering that an organization's deep social structures can evolve or reinforce themselves through IT use. By putting together theses evolutions with Critical Success Factor (CSF), we can then evaluate the possible value induced by the more innovative King of IT uses. Then, the study of France Telecom Lyon enables us to precise our model by confronting it to a concrete situation.
