24 Mar 2000TL;DR: Passenger seat has seat part (22a) and back (22b) pivoted to seat part onto which it can be folded down and back is first folded down onto seat part then seat is tipped around second articulation axis (44b) parallel to vehicle cent longitudinal axis so that folded seat is at level of vehicle central axis against the driver's seat (20).
Abstract: Passenger seat has seat part (22a) and back (22b) pivoted to seat part onto which it can be folded down. Base (26) supports fixed to, but can be detached from vehicle floor. Seat can be moved between normal use position, where back is perpendicular to part, and folded position in armrest. Back is first folded down onto seat part then seat is tipped around second articulation axis (44b) parallel to vehicle cent longitudinal axis so that folded seat is at level of vehicle central axis against the driver's seat (20).

14 Apr 1991TL;DR: Various experiments that have been carried out for the realization of a combined speech and channel coder to be submitted as a candidate for the standardization of the pan-European half-rate channel are described.
Abstract: Various experiments that have been carried out for the realization of a combined speech and channel coder to be submitted as a candidate for the standardization of the pan-European half-rate channel are described. The speech coder is based on the code-excited linear prediction (CELP) technique and involves binary regular pulse excitation (RPCELP). Fast codebook search procedures are described, and a fast algorithm for closed-loop long-term prediction is introduced. Fractional pitch analysis can be performed with a small computational load. The channel coder uses a convolutional code with an error detection code for the most sensitive bits. The global solution was designed to reduce the effects of transmission errors. The proposed half-rate codec is real-time implemented in fixed point with a very low complexity. Results indicate that speech quality remains close to that of the full-rate codec for all transmission conditions. >

16 Jun 1990TL;DR: The automatic reading of unconstrained cursive city names written on real mail is considered and an analytical approach is described which first achieves an explicit segmentation of cursive words.
Abstract: The automatic reading of unconstrained cursive city names written on real mail is considered. An analytical approach is described which first achieves an explicit segmentation of cursive words. The results after crosschecking of the zip code and the city name are a 61.7% efficiency rate and a 1.3 confusion rate, which allow operational implementation. >

03 Aug 2006TL;DR: The planking element production process produces planking elements (2, 2') with connecting strips (6, 7) from a board (1), a board is separated along an intended break point (11) between two grooves cut into the first and second surfaces of the board as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The planking element production process produces planking elements (2, 2') with connecting strips (6, 7) from a board (1). A board is separated along an intended break point (11) between two grooves cut into the first and second surfaces of the board. The edges thus obtained are then milled into the final connecting strips.
