TL;DR: An adaptive sliding controller is proposed for a single-link flexible-joint robot with mismatched uncertainties and results show that the proposed control strategy gives good tracking performance with all other signals remaining bounded.
Abstract: An adaptive sliding controller is proposed for a single-link flexible-joint robot with mismatched uncertainties. A backsteppinglike design is used to deal with the mismatched problem and the function approximation technique is employed to transform the uncertainties into finite combinations of orthonormal basis functions. Adaptive laws can thus be derived based on the Lyapunov-like design. Experiment results show that the proposed control strategy gives good tracking performance with all other signals remaining bounded.

TL;DR: A technology adoption model is developed to predict the users' intention of adoption and their continued use behavior and indicates that perceptions of relative advantage and compatibility are significantly related to Users' intention to use e-learning.
Abstract: With the advent of e-learning technologies in the past decade, the accessibility of training, teaching, and learning has drastically increased. The challenge for the education enterprise now is how to attract learners to their e-learning services. In this study, a technology adoption model is developed to predict the users' intention of adoption and their continued use behavior. The results show significant evidence in support of the hypothesis. The findings indicate that perceptions of relative advantage and compatibility are significantly related to users' intention to use e-learning. Also, the intention is significantly related to their actual use of e-learning. Furthermore, the technology adoption of learners with prior e-learning experience is different from those without prior e-learning experience. These findings may contribute to deeper understanding of e-learning users' perceptions in terms of adoption and continued use behavior.

TL;DR: This paper presents a new method to predict temperature and the Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX), based on the two-factors high-order fuzzy time series, which gets a higher forecasting accuracy rate than the existing methods.
Abstract: In our daily life, people often use forecasting techniques to predict weather, economy, population growth, stock, etc. However, in the real world, an event can be affected by many factors. Therefore, if we consider more factors for prediction, then we can get better forecasting results. In recent years, many researchers used fuzzy time series to handle prediction problems. In this paper, we present a new method to predict temperature and the Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX), based on the two-factors high-order fuzzy time series. The proposed method constructs two-factors high-order fuzzy logical relationships based on the historical data to increase the forecasting accuracy rate. The proposed method gets a higher forecasting accuracy rate than the existing methods.

TL;DR: Experimental results from a natural science course in an elementary school show that a concept map-oriented Mindtool for collaborative ubiquitous learning not only enhances learning motivation but also improves the learning achievements of the students.
Abstract: Recent advances in mobile and wireless communication technologies have enabled various new learning approaches which situate students in environments that combine real-world and digital-world learning resources; moreover, students are allowed to share knowledge or experiences with others during the learning process. Although such an approach seems to be promising and innovative, researchers have indicated several problems when applying it to practical applications, in particular, the lack of proper strategies or tools to assist the students to learn collaboratively in such a learning scenario with abundant content. Students might feel interested when using the mobile devices to learn; however, without proper assistance or guidance, their learning achievements are usually disappointing. To cope with this problem, this study proposes a concept map-oriented Mindtool for collaborative ubiquitous learning. Experimental results from a natural science course in an elementary school show that this approach not only enhances learning motivation but also improves the learning achievements of the students.
