TL;DR: A novel and fast maximum power point tracking algorithm for a photovoltaic generation system that can successfully track the global MPP in 249 of 252 different PSC patterns and can improve the tracking time by 46.42% and 11.76% compared to conventional perturb and observe (P&O) and variable-step P&O technique.
Abstract: In this study, a novel and fast maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm for a photovoltaic generation system is proposed. The main idea is to remove the random number in the voltage calculation equation of the conventional cuckoo search method. The advantages of the proposed method include 1) fast maximum power point (MPP) tracking speed and high MPP tracking accuracy under both uniform insolation and partially shaded conditions (PSCs), 2) simple MPPT structure, and 3) consistent solution can be achieved with only three particles and only one parameter is required to be tuned. In order to validate the effectiveness and correctness of the proposed method, both simulation and experiments are carried out on a 300 W prototyping circuit. According to the experimental results, the proposed MPPT method can improve the tracking time by 46.42% and 11.76% comparing to conventional perturb and observe (P&O) and variable-step P&O technique, respectively. In addition, the proposed method can successfully track the global MPP in 249 of 252 different PSC patterns. The tracking accuracies under both uniform irradiance and PSC conditions are all higher than 99.8%.

TL;DR: Simulational results via Iris, Glass, Vowel and Wine benchmark data sets indicate that the proposed evolutionary- based clustering algorithm is more accurate than the GA-based and PSOA-based clustering algorithms.
Abstract: This study proposes an evolutionary-based clustering algorithm based on a hybrid of genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSOA) for order clustering in order to reduce surface mount technology (SMT) setup time. Simulational results via Iris, Glass, Vowel and Wine benchmark data sets indicate that the proposed evolutionary-based clustering algorithm is more accurate than the GA-based and PSOA-based clustering algorithms. In addition, the model evaluation results which use order information provided by an international industrial personal computer (PC) manufacturer show that the proposed algorithm is also superior to GA-based and PSOA-based clustering algorithms. Through order clustering, scheduling orders that belong to the same cluster together can reduce production time as well as machine idle time.

TL;DR: The total PL intensity decreases moderately in WSe2 and WS2, strongly in MoS2 and dramatically in MoSe2, and it is proposed that the line interpreted previously in PL spectra of WSe 2 andWS2 as related to the biexciton emission is a superposition of the bIExciton, trion and localized exciton emission.
Abstract: We report on detailed temperature dependent (T = 7-295 K) optical spectroscopy studies of WSe2, WS2, MoSe2 and MoS2 monolayers exfoliated onto the same SiO2/Si substrate. In the high energy region of absorption type (reflectivity contrast-RC) and emission (photo-luminescence-PL) spectra of all the monolayers resonances related to the neutral and charged excitons (X and T) are detected in the entire measured temperature range. The optical amplitudes of excitons and trions strongly depend on the temperature and two dimensional carrier gas (2DCG) concentration. In the low energy PL spectra of WSe2 and WS2 we detect a group of lines (L) which dominates the spectra at low temperatures but rapidly quenches with the increase in the temperature. Interestingly, in the same energy range of the RC spectra recorded for WS2, we observe an additional line (L 0), which behaves in the same way as the L lines in the PL spectra. The optical amplitude of L 0 and T resonances in the RC spectra strongly increases with the growth of the 2DCG concentration. On the base of these observations we identify the L 0 resonance in the RC spectra as arising from the fine structure of the trion. We also propose that the line interpreted previously in PL spectra of WSe2 and WS2 as related to the biexciton emission is a superposition of the biexciton, trion and localized exciton emission. We find that with the temperature increase from 7-295 K the total PL intensity decreases moderately in WSe2 and WS2, strongly in MoS2 and dramatically in MoSe2.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored the inherent characteristics of multi-grounded three-phase four-wire distribution systems under unbalanced situations and explored the effects of neutrals and system grounding.
Abstract: This paper has explored the inherent characteristics of multi-grounded three-phase four-wire distribution systems under unbalanced situations. The exploration also involved the effects of neutrals and system grounding. Power engineers have often disregarded these effects while analyzing a power system. The simulation tool is PSpice for Windows. It is capable of representing and simulating the equivalent model with an explicit neutral wire and groundings of a multi-grounded distribution system. In this paper the equivalent model of a full-scale multi-grounded distribution system implemented by PSpice is introduced. Simulation results have illustrated the effects of neutrals and system grounding on the operation characteristics of multi-grounded four-wire distribution systems.
