Yield strength and misfit volumes of NiCoCr and implications for short-range-order.
TL;DR: It is shown that SRO is of negligible importance in NiCoCr processed by standard methods, and standard spin-polarized density functional theory calculations of misfit volumes are not accurate, implying that DFT may be inaccurate for other subtle structural quantities such as atom-atom bond distance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Phase stability and distortion in high-entropy oxides
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors demonstrate how configurational entropy stabilises rock-salt type single phase multi-component solid solution oxides using both random and genetic algorithm sampling strategies.
