An overview of time-based and condition-based maintenance in industrial application

TLDR
It can be concluded that the application of the CBM technique is more realistic, and thus more worthwhile to apply, than the TBM one, however, further research on CBM must be carried out in order to make it more realistic for making maintenance decisions.

Robust design with imprecise random variables and its application in hydrokinetic turbine optimization

TL;DR: In this paper, a robust robust design methodology was developed to accommodate the mixture of both precise and imprecise random variables in the robust design optimization of a hydrokinetic turbine system.

An Ameliorated Improvement Factor Model for Imperfect Maintenance and Its Goodness of Fit

TL;DR: This work develops an imperfect-maintenance model by taking a physically meaningful approach, and promotes a bootstrapping approach to approximating the distribution of a test statistic via simulated data.

A study of the development of a condition-based maintenance system for an LNG FPSO

TL;DR: This study introduces a case study on the development of a CBM system (CBMS) for an oil and gas offshore plant, i.e. liquefied natural gas floating production storage and offloading vessel (LNG FPSO).

Interpretable Anomaly Prediction: Predicting anomalous behavior in industry 4.0 settings via regularized logistic regression tools

TL;DR: This paper introduces a method called Interpretable Anomaly Prediction (IAP), allowing to handle these issues by using regularized logistic regression as core prediction model, and is able to predict the probability that future data will be abnormal.

Optimum Preventive Maintenance Policies

TL;DR: In this paper, two types of preventive maintenance policies are considered, and the optimum policies are determined, in each case, as unique solutions of certain integral equations depending on the failure distribution.
