An overview of time-based and condition-based maintenance in industrial application

TLDR
It can be concluded that the application of the CBM technique is more realistic, and thus more worthwhile to apply, than the TBM one, however, further research on CBM must be carried out in order to make it more realistic for making maintenance decisions.

A bivariate process-based mean residual lifetime model for maintenance and inspection planning

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors presented a new performance metric for the reliability analysis of a deteriorating system composed of n parallel subsystems, which incorporates not only the age factor, but also two basic processes: the number of failed subsystems and the operating environment.
Proceedings Article

Set point thresholds from topological data analysis and an outlier detector.

TL;DR: An algorithm for unsupervised or semi-supervised learning to determine a very easily described zone of optimal execution settings for a production, based on a topological data analysis tool: Mapper.

Business drivers of a collaborative, proactive maintenance solution

TL;DR: The elevated complexity and costs of production assets combined with the requirements for high-quality manufactured products necessitate novel design and condition-based maintenance approaches that are able to provide the required levels of availability, maintainability, quality and safety while decreasing the cost of the system as a whole and throughout the production lifecycle.

Design and development of a device management platform for EAST cryogenic system

TL;DR: This paper presents the function design and architecture design of the cryogenic device management platform, developed based on DeltaV DCS and acquires monitoring data through OPC protocol and consists of three pillars, namely device information management, device condition management, and device performance monitoring.

An Interactive Decision Support System for Energy Management in Process Industry

TL;DR: In this article, an energy efficiency analysis model was developed formed by integration of a deterministic and probabilistic model of the system, based on a balance of cost/benefits, to optimize maintenance interventions and operative procedures as the first aim of maximizing energy efficiency.

Optimum Preventive Maintenance Policies

TL;DR: In this paper, two types of preventive maintenance policies are considered, and the optimum policies are determined, in each case, as unique solutions of certain integral equations depending on the failure distribution.
