Database for Baghdad Soil Using GIS Techniques

TL;DR: In this article, a database for Baghdad soils is made using different GIS techniques connecting the spatial locations of those soils with their properties (Atterberg limits, specific gravity, grain size analysis, Shear Strength parameters, Consolidation parameters), Borehole log, Site profile using the attribute tables, hyperlinks, metadata and SQL (System Query Language), so GIS technique give the facilities for adding, editing and analyzing the existing data as well as the any future data of Baghdad soils.

Yüksek Plastisiteli Killerde Rezidüel Kayma Direncinin Direkt Kesme Deneyi Sonuçları Kullanılarak Tayin Edilmesi

Ebru Akiş
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the role of day-animi parametrelegated parametrized parametrization in the development of the state-of-the-art.

Evaluation of Foundation Settlement under Various Added Loads in Different Locations of Iraq Using Finite Element

TL;DR: In this article, field and laboratory tests were conducted for twenty three sites in three different regions in Iraq (Mosul, Baghdad, and Basrah) and the results adopted for two sites from each region depended on the maximum and minimum bearing capacity values.

A Simple Algorithm for Analyzing a Piled Raft by Considering Stress Distribution

TL;DR: In this article, a computer program based on the finite element method (FEM) for analyzing piled raft foundation (in this program, foundation is modeled as a flexible plate, soil and pile are modeled by Winkler springs) is presented.

Use of Soil Cement Bed in Improvement of Load Carrying Capacity of Stone Columns

TL;DR: In this article, a hard layer of soil-cement was placed over the stone columns as load transferring platform so that the layer transferred a reduced stress to the soft soil and stone column composite foundation.
