TLDR
In this article, high resolution pollen, dinocyst and isotopic data for the Last Interglacial complex from marine core MD952042 (southwestern margin of the Iberian Peninsula; 37°48′N; 10°10′W; 3148 m) were presented.

Marine Isotope Substage 5e and the Eemian Interglacial

TL;DR: In this paper, the relationship between the boundaries of the Eemian Interglacial and the Marine Isotope Stage 5 (MIS5) is investigated. But the relationship is not defined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interglacials of the last 800,000 years

TL;DR: In this article, the authors identify eleven interglacials in the last 800,000 years, a result that is robust to alternative definitions, such as the onset of an interglacial (glacial termination) seems to require a reducing precession parameter (increasing Northern Hemisphere summer insolation), but this condition alone is insufficient.
Journal ArticleDOI

Contrasting impacts of Dansgaard-Oeschger events over a western European latitudinal transect modulated by orbital parameters

TL;DR: In this article, the authors focused on latitudinal variability in the forest cover extent and composition of western Europe during the succession of Dansgaard-Oeschger (D-O) and Heinrich (H) events, showing new pollen records for core MD04-2845.

Evidence for general instability of past climate from a 250-kyr ice-core record

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a detailed stable isotope record for the full length of the Greenland Ice-core Project Summit ice core, extending over the past 250 kyr according to a calculated timescale, and find that climate instability was not confined to the last glaciation, but appears also have been marked during the last interglacial (as explored more fully in a companion paper), and during the previous Saale-Holstein glacial cycle.

Insolation values for the climate of the last 10 million years

TL;DR: In this article, new values for the astronomical parameters of the Earth's orbit and rotation (eccentricity, obliquity and precession) are proposed for paleoclimatic research related to the Late Miocene, the Pliocene and the Quaternary.

Grande Pile peat bog: A continuous pollen record for the last 140,000 years

TL;DR: In the Southern Vosges Mountains, Northeastern France, the Grande Pile peat bog (47° 44′ N, 6°30′14″ E, 330m altitude, about 20 m deep) gives a continuous pollen sequence for the last 140,000 years.
Journal ArticleDOI

A 140,000-year continental climate reconstruction from two European pollen records

TL;DR: The dramatic and cyclic changes that have characterized the Earth's climate throughout the Quaternary may be illustrated by developments during the last such cycle which took place over the past 140,000 years as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

High-resolution climate records from the North Atlantic during the last interglacial

TL;DR: In this article, high-resolution records of foraminiferal assemblages and ice-rafted detritus from two North Atlantic cores for the interval 65 kyr to 135 kyr ago, extending the surface-ocean record back to the Eemian.
