A Monte Carlo event generator HIJING is developed to study jet and multiparticle production in high energy {ital pp, {ital pA}, and {ital AA} collisions, and a schematic mechanism of jet interactions in dense matter is described.
Abstract
Combining perturbative-QCD inspired models for multiple jet production with low ${p}_{T}$ multistring phenomenology, we develop a Monte Carlo event generator hijing to study jet and multiparticle production in high energy $\mathrm{pp}$, $\mathrm{pA}$, and $\mathrm{AA}$ collisions. The model includes multiple minijet production, nuclear shadowing of parton distribution functions, and a schematic mechanism of jet interactions in dense matter. Glauber geometry for multiple collisions is used to calculate $\mathrm{pA}$ and $\mathrm{AA}$ collisions. The phenomenological parameters are adjusted to reproduce essential features of $\mathrm{pp}$ multiparticle production data for a wide energy range ($\sqrt{s}=5\ensuremath{-}2000$ GeV). Illustrative tests of the model on $p+A$ and light-ion $B+A$ data at $\sqrt{s}=20$ GeV/nucleon and predictions for Au+Au at energies of the BNL Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider ($\sqrt{s}=200$ GeV/nucleon) are given.

Monte Carlo simulations of jet quenching in heavy ion collisions

TL;DR: In this article, the main ideas and concepts of the currently available Monte Carlo models for jet quenching are summarized and discussed. But they do not cover the effects of medium-induced modifications of jets.

Nuclear system size scan for freeze-out properties in relativistic heavy-ion collisions by using a multiphase transport model

TL;DR: In this paper, a multiphase transport (ampt) model was employed for considering the bulk properties at the freeze-out stage for B10+B10, C12+C12, O16+O16, Ne20+Ne20, Ca40+Ca40, Zr96+Zr96, and Au197+Au197 collisions at RHIC energies sNN of 200, 20, and 7.7

Probing Pb$+$Pb collisions at $\sqrt{S_{NN}}=$ 2760 GeV with spectators

TL;DR: In this article, an additional binning in terms of total spectator neutrons in an event is proposed to probe events with a broader range of initial conditions, providing an opportunity to peep into events with rarer initial conditions which otherwise get masked when analysed by centrality binning alone.

Effects of shadowing in Pb + Pb collisions at energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider within the HIJING code

TL;DR: In this article, the ImHIJING/Cas/Set2 model was used to investigate the charged particle central rapidity density per participant nucleon pair in an improved HIJING (ImHIJing/Cas) model.
