Clean fixation of dye on cotton in supercritical carbon dioxide with a heterogeneous and phase transfer catalytic reaction
TL;DR: In this article, a clean fixation of reactive dye on cotton was investigated by employing a heterogeneous and phase transfer catalytical reaction with a phase transfer agent in a liquid-supercritical solid triphase system, as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional and heavy pollutional wet-chemical process.
Journal ArticleDOI
Xantphos-based, silica-supported, selective, and recyclable hydroformylation catalysts: a review
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compared various immobilized catalysts such as SAPC, sol-gel-based catalysts, silica-anchored catalysts used both in an organic phase as well as in supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO 2 ).
Journal ArticleDOI
Selective hydrogenation of maleic anhydride to gamma-butyrolactone over Pd/Al2O3 catalyst using supercritical CO2 as solvent.
TL;DR: A selective hydrogenation of maleic anhydride to either gamma-butyrolactone or succinic anHydride over simple Pd/Al2O3 catalyst under supercritical CO2 medium is described for the first time which has considerable promise for both lab-scale as well as industrial selective hydrogenations of low vapor pressure compounds without employing environmentally harmful organic solvents.
Journal ArticleDOI
Solvent-modified supercritical CO2: A beneficial medium for heterogeneously catalyzed oxidation reactions
TL;DR: In this paper, the selective oxidation of benzyl alcohol to benzaldehyde with molecular oxygen in supercritical carbon dioxide over a commercial 0.5-wt. Pd/Al2O3 catalyst was studied under continuous flow conditions using toluene as a co-solvent.
Journal ArticleDOI
In situ FTIR study on the formation and adsorption of CO on alumina-supported noble metal catalysts from H2 and CO2 in the presence of water vapor at high pressures.
TL;DR: It was observed that the adsorption of CO occurred on all the metal catalysts at high pressures, but some CO species still remained adsorbed under ambient conditions after the high pressure FTIR measurements, and the frequencies of the Adsorbed CO species were lower either for the heat treated samples or in the presence of water vapor.

TL;DR: The design of such a filigrane network requires the very careful control of chemical parameters and the reward is an assortment of different property profiles owing to the richness of possible variations.

Structures of metal sites of oxidized bovine heart cytochrome c oxidase at 2.8 A
Tomitake Tsukihara,Hiroshi Aoyama,Eiki Yamashita,Takashi Tomizaki,Hiroshi Yamaguchi,Kyoko Shinzawa-Itoh,Ryosuke Nakashima,Rieko Yaono,Shinya Yoshikawa +8 more
TL;DR: The high resolution three-dimensional x-ray structure of the metal sites of bovine heart cytochrome c oxidase is reported, suggesting a dinuclear copper center with an unexpected structure similar to a [2Fe-2S]-type iron-sulfur center.
Journal ArticleDOI
Homogeneous Hydrogenation of Carbon Dioxide
TL;DR: In this article, the simplest and most studied reactions of CO{sub 2} are the catalytic reactions with H{sub 1} in the presence or absence of other reactive species.
