Characterization and comparison of hydrophilic and hydrophobic room temperature ionic liquids incorporating the imidazolium cation

TL;DR: A series of hydrophilic and hydrophobic 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs) have been prepared and characterized to determine how water content, density, viscosity, surface tension, melting point, and thermal stability are affected by changes in alkyl chain length and anion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Hydrogen Peroxide Synthesis: An Outlook beyond the Anthraquinone Process

TL;DR: The direct synthesis of H 2O2 from O2 and H2 using a variety of catalysts, and the factors influencing the formation and decomposition of H2O2 are examined in detail in this Review.
Journal ArticleDOI

Catalytic conversion of lignocellulosic biomass to fine chemicals and fuels

TL;DR: This critical review provides insights into the state-of-the-art accomplishments in the chemocatalytic technologies to generate fuels and value-added chemicals from lignocellulosic biomass, with an emphasis on its major component, cellulose.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nano-magnetite (Fe3O4) as a support for recyclable catalysts in the development of sustainable methodologies

TL;DR: The functionalized magnetically retrievable catalysts or nanocatalysts that are increasingly being used in catalysis, green chemistry and pharmaceutically significant reactions are summarized in this review.

Continous‐mixture kinetics of coke formation from olefinic oligomers

TL;DR: In this article, a model for interpreting the molecular-weight distributions is presented for the olefinic oligomers and aromatic coke compounds that are experimentally observed in a catalyzed hexene isomerization process (the primary reaction). Reaction rate expressions for the secondary generation of hexene dimers, trimers and tetramers by irreversible reaction are represented in mass balances for a stirred tank reactor.
Journal ArticleDOI

Simultaneous pyrolysis of ethane-propane mixture in pulsed microreactor system

TL;DR: In this article, the pyrolyse entre 759 and 925°C de melanges ethane/propane, with a temps de sejour de 0.038 a 1.1 sec.
Book ChapterDOI

Hardening of fats and oils in supercritical CO2

TL;DR: In this article, DELOXAN ® supported precious metal fixed-bed catalysts were used for selective and complete hardening reactions of fats and oils, free fatty acids and fatty acid esters with hydrogen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Reaction phase effect on tertiary butyl alcohol synthesis by air oxidation of isobutane

TL;DR: In this article, a direct introduction of air to supercritical phase isobutane exhibited high activity for selective synthesis of tertiary butyl alcohol, especially on SiO2 TiO2 and Pd/carbon catalysts.
