Small molecule fluorophore and copolymer RGD peptide conjugates for ex vivo two-photon fluorescence tumor vasculature imaging.
Alma R. Morales,Ciceron O. Yanez,Yuanwei Zhang,Xuhua Wang,Sanchita Biswas,Takeo Urakami,Masanobu Komatsu,Kevin D. Belfield +7 more
TL;DR: Both RGD conjugates demonstrated specific targeting to tumor blood vessels, and this selectivity imparted excellent contrast in 2PFM micrographs that captured high-resolution 3-D images of the tumor vasculature up to depths of 830 μm in Lewis Lung Carcinoma (LLC) tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Wavelength- and Time-Dependence of Potentiometric Non-linear Optical Signals from Styryl Dyes
TL;DR: The system is modified to coordinate the application of voltage-clamp steps with non-linear image acquisition to more precisely characterize the time dependence of SHG and 2PF voltage sensitivity, finding that, at least for some dyes, SHG responds more slowly than fluorescence to changes in transmembrane potential.
Journal ArticleDOI
Two-photon fluorescent probe for silver ion derived from twin-cyano-stilbene with large two-photon absorption cross section
TL;DR: A two-photon sensor for silver ion derived from twin-cyano-stilbene as the fluorophore is reported in this paper, which can be used to detect trace Ag +, and its binding constant (log K ) for Ag + is as high as 5.76 ± 0.05.
Journal ArticleDOI
Subcellular in vivo time-lapse imaging and optical manipulation of Caenorhabditis elegans in standard multiwell plates
TL;DR: A technology for screening Caenorhabditis elegans at cellular resolution over its entire lifespan inside standard multiwell plates using repeated immobilization, imaging and optical manipulation and shows that neurite regrowth occurring over short time windows is significantly greater than that predicted by ensemble averaging over many animals.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diagnosis of BCC by multiphoton laser tomography
Stefania Seidenari,Federica Arginelli,Sara Bassoli,Jennifer Marchetti Cautela,Anna Maria Cesinaro,Mario Guanti,Davide Guardoli,Cristina Magnoni,Marco Manfredini,Giovanni Ponti,Karsten König +10 more
TL;DR: This study identified MPT descriptors on ex vivo specimens of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) to assess the sensitivity and specificity of these criteria for the diagnosis of BCC and its differentiation from other skin tumours, inflammatory diseases and healthy skin.
