TLDR
Work/family border theory as mentioned in this paper is a new theory about work/family balance that addresses how domain integration and segmentation, border creation and management, border-crosser participation, and relationships between bordercrossers and others at work and home influence work and family balance.
Abstract
This article introduces work/family border theory - a new theory about work/family balance. According to the theory, people are daily border-crossers between the domains of work and family. The theory addresses how domain integration and segmentation, border creation and management, border-crosser participation, and relationships between border-crossers and others at work and home influence work/family balance. Propositions are given to guide future research.

Episodic Work-Family Conflict and Strain: A Dynamic Perspective

TL;DR: Lagged analyses showed some evidence that negative mood predicts work- family conflict occurrence within the next few hours, and evidence that state negative affect increases throughout the day as work-to-family conflict episodes accumulate.

When work enters the home: Antecedents of role boundary permeability behavior

TL;DR: In this article, the authors build on prior theoretical and empirical work to better understand how three personal characteristics (home role identity saliency, work role identity salientness, and polychronicity) and two situational factors (pressure for precedence from the work and home domains) influence the permeability of the home role boundary.

What's Really Important? Examining the Relative Importance of Antecedents to Work-Family Conflict

TL;DR: Byron et al. as discussed by the authors examined the relative importance of antecedents to work-family conflict (WFC) across different types of WFC using appropriate statistics and found that personality and other individual difference variables are consistently and uniquely related to WFC.

Acts of meaning

TL;DR: Jerome Bruner argues that the cognitive revolution has led psychology away from the deeper objective of understanding mind as a creator of meanings, and only by breaking out of the limitations imposed by a computational model of mind can be grasped.
