A Level-2 trigger algorithm for the identification of muons in the ATLAS Muon Spectrometer

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a software-based approach for event selection after the initial Level-1 hardware trigger, which is decomposed in a number of broad steps: first, the Muon Spectrometer data are processed to give physics quantities associated to the muon track (standalone feature extraction) then, other detector data are used to refine the extracted features.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of the energy response of the ATLAS calorimeter to charged pions from W±→τ±(→π±ντ)ντ\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}

Georges Aad, +2838 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the energy response of the ATLAS calorimeter is measured for single charged pions with transverse momentum in the range $10
Journal Article

Measurement of the inclusive isolated prompt photons cross section in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector using 4.6 fb[superscript -1]

Georges Aad, +2898 more
TL;DR: Aad, G., et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed a model for particle fields, fields, Gravitation, and Cosmology, which is based on the concept of a particle field. But they did not specify the parameters of the particle field as a function of the field.

Measurement of the W charge asymmetry in the W →μν decay mode in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +3031 more
TL;DR: Aad et al. as discussed by the authors measured the W charge asymmetry in the W→μν decay mode in pp collisions at √s = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photon reconstruction in the ATLAS Inner Detector and Liquid Argon Barrel Calorimeter at the 2004 Combined Test Beam

E. Abat, +509 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the reconstruction of photons in the ATLAS detector was studied with data taken during the 2004 Combined Test Beam, where a full slice of the detector was exposed to beams of particles of known energy at the CERN SPS.
