Diverse Applications of Nanomedicine

Beatriz Pelaz, +91 more
- 14 Mar 2017 -
TL;DR: An overview of recent developments in nanomedicine is provided and the current challenges and upcoming opportunities for the field are highlighted and translation to the clinic is highlighted.
Journal ArticleDOI

Efficacy of D-RaCe and ProTaper Universal Retreatment NiTi instruments and hand files in removing gutta-percha from curved root canals - a micro-computed tomography study.

TL;DR: D-RaCe instruments were associated with significantly less residual filling material than ProTaper Universal Retreatment instruments and hand files and Hedström files removed significantly less dentine than both rotary NiTi systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antitumor Effects of a Combined 5-Aza-2′Deoxycytidine and Valproic Acid Treatment on Rhabdomyosarcoma and Medulloblastoma in Ptch Mutant Mice

TL;DR: This is a first in vivo demonstration that targeting of Dnmt and HDAC activities is highly effective in preventing formation of Ptch-associated tumors, and suggests a novel clinical strategy for consolidation therapy of corresponding tumors in humans after completion of conventional treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dissociation of angiogenesis and tumorigenesis in follistatin- and activin-expressing tumors.

TL;DR: Analysis of activin- and follistatin-expressing R30C cells identified a cell autonomous role of this system in controlling tumor cell growth, supporting the concept that tumor growth may not be dependent on increased angiogenesis as long as a minimal intratumoral microvessel density is maintained.
