Journal ArticleDOI
Uncoupler titrations in co-reconstituted systems do not discriminate between localized and delocalized mechanisms of photo-phosphorylation.

Electrode with protective coating
TL;DR: In this article, the authors define a copolymer comprising at least one polymer moiety attaching at least a second polymer to the surface, the at least second polymer extending from the surface so as to inhibit contamination of the surface by a foreign substance, which is suitable for use in apparatus for analysing and/or monitoring biological material using nonlinear dielectric spectroscopic techniques.

Journal ArticleDOI
Enantioselectivity of sulcatone reduction by some anaerobic bacteria
TL;DR: The enantiomeric selectivity of sulcatone reduction was substantially affected by both of these factors, and it is likely that this reflects the possession by these clostridia of multiple ketone reductases differing in their K m values for sulcat one and present in the organisms in differing proportions during the course of their batch culture growth.
Journal ArticleDOI
On the lateral mobility of proteins in prokaryotic membranes.
TL;DR: The eubacterial plasma membrane, in common with other biological membranes, is now thought generally to be organized as a 'fluid mosaic' of proteins and protein complexes, dispersed in, on and through a 'sea· of phospholipid molecules arranged as a bilayer.
