Journal ArticleDOI
Erratum: Naturally occurring lung CD4+CD25+ T cell regulation of airway allergic responses depends on IL-10 induction of TGF-β (Journal of Immunology (2007) 178 (1433-1442))
Journal Article
Functional thrombin receptors on human T lymphoblastoid cells.
TL;DR: Findings demonstrate functional thrombin receptors on T lymphoblastoid cells that may be capable of activating the cells, independently of an ongoing immune response.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mesenchymal Stem Cells Recruit CCR2+ Monocytes To Suppress Allergic Airway Inflammation.
Katsuyuki Takeda,Tracy L. Webb,Fangkun Ning,Yoshiki Shiraishi,Daniel P. Regan,Lyndah Chow,Mia J. Smith,Shigeru Ashino,Amanda Guth,Sophie Hopkins,Erwin W. Gelfand,Steven W. Dow +11 more
TL;DR: It is suggested that MSC activation by IFN-γ, followed by increased expression of CCL2 and recruitment of monocytes to the lungs, is essential for suppression by MSC in allergen-induced airway hyperresponsiveness and airway inflammation.
Journal ArticleDOI
The E-rosette assay: a cautionary note.
TL;DR: Study of both patients and treated lymphocyte preparations indicated that the use of untreated SRBC in the E-rosette assay failed to detect certain T-cell subpopulations whereas assays using treated SRBC were insensitive to differences in the binding properties of distinct T- cell subsets.
Journal ArticleDOI
Montelukast during Primary Infection Prevents Airway Hyperresponsiveness and Inflammation after Reinfection with Respiratory Syncytial Virus
Junyan Han,Yi Jia,Katsuyuki Takeda,Yoshiki Shiraishi,Masakazu Okamoto,Azzeddine Dakhama,Erwin W. Gelfand +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of montelukast (MK), a cysteinyl leukotriene (cysLT) receptor antagonist, in primary and secondary RSV-infected newborn and adult mice were evaluated.
