Letrozole versus Clomiphene for Infertility in the Polycystic Ovary Syndrome
Richard S. Legro,Robert G. Brzyski,Michael P. Diamond,Christos Coutifaris,William D. Schlaff,Peter Casson,Gregory M. Christman,Hao Huang,Qingshang Yan,Ruben Alvero,Daniel J. Haisenleder,Kurt T. Barnhart,G. Wright Bates,Rebecca S. Usadi,Scott Lucidi,Valerie L. Baker,J. C. Trussell,Stephen A. Krawetz,Peter J. Snyder,Dana A. Ohl,Nanette Santoro,Esther Eisenberg,Heping Zhang +22 more
TL;DR: Letrozole was associated with higher live-birth and ovulation rates among infertile women with the polycystic ovary syndrome and with higher incidences of fatigue and dizziness compared with clomiphene.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genome-wide association of polycystic ovary syndrome implicates alterations in gonadotropin secretion in European ancestry populations
M. Geoffrey Hayes,Margrit Urbanek,David A. Ehrmann,Loren L. Armstrong,Ji Young Lee,Ryan Sisk,Tugce Karaderi,Thomas M. Barber,Mark I. McCarthy,Stephen Franks,Cecilia M. Lindgren,Cecilia M. TL;DR: Common genetic susceptibility loci in European ancestry women for the National Institutes of Health PCOS phenotype are identified, which confers the highest risk for metabolic morbidities, as well as reproductive hormone levels, and implicate neuroendocrine changes in disease pathogenesis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Age-specific serum anti-Müllerian hormone values for 17,120 women presenting to fertility centers within the United States.
TL;DR: In this paper, age-specific serum anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) values for women presenting to U.S. fertility clinics were determined for single-year median and mean AMH values with SDs.
Journal ArticleDOI
Improving embryo selection using a computer-automated time-lapse image analysis test plus day 3 morphology: results from a prospective multicenter trial
Joe Conaghan,A.A. Chen,S.P. Willman,K. Ivani,Philip E. Chenette,Robert Boostanfar,Valerie L. Baker,G. David Adamson,Mary E. Abusief,M. Gvakharia,Kevin E. Loewke,Shehua Shen +11 more
TL;DR: Experienced embryologists using Eeva in combination with D3 morphology significantly improved their ability to identify embryos that would reach the usable blastocyst stage, and adjunctive use of morphology plus Eeva also reduced interindividual variability in embryo selection.
Journal ArticleDOI
Letrozole, Gonadotropin, or Clomiphene for Unexplained Infertility
Michael P. Diamond,Richard S. Legro,Christos Coutifaris,Ruben Alvero,Randal D. Robinson,Peter Casson,Gregory M. Christman,Joel W. Ager,Hao Huang,Karl R. Hansen,Valerie L. Baker,Rebecca S. TL;DR: In women with unexplained infertility, ovarian stimulation with letrozole resulted in a significantly lower frequency of multiple gestation but also a higher frequency of live birth, as compared with gonadotropin but not asCompared with clomiphene.
