Michel Electron Reconstruction Using Cosmic-Ray Data from the MicroBooNE LArTPC

R. Acciarri, +144 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the impact of radiative photons produced by Michel electrons on the accuracy and resolution of their energy measurement in the MicroBooNE liquid argon time projection chamber (LArTPC).
Journal ArticleDOI

Reconstruction and Measurement of $\mathcal{O}$(100) MeV Energy Electromagnetic Activity from $\pi^0 \rightarrow \gamma\gamma$ Decays in the MicroBooNE LArTPC

C. Adams, +187 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present results on the reconstruction of electromagnetic (EM) activity from photons produced in charged current interactions with final state (i.e., final state π^0$s).
Journal ArticleDOI

First measurement of the charge asymmetry in beauty-quark pair production

Roel Aaij, +704 more
TL;DR: The difference in the angular distributions between beauty quarks and antiquarks, referred to as the charge asymmetry, is measured for the first time in bb pair production at a hadron collider, consistent with the predictions of the standard model.
Journal ArticleDOI

The linear relationship between diffusivity and crystallization kinetics in a deeply supercooled liquid Ni50Ti50 alloy

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the crystallization process of deeply supercooled Ni50Ti50 liquids via molecular dynamics simulation and revealed the ultrafast crystallization behavior and established the strong non-Arrhenius temperature dependence of the kinetic coefficient ukin for the crystal growth.
