Noise Characterization and Filtering in the MicroBooNE Liquid Argon TPC

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the characteristics and mitigation of the observed noise in the MicroBooNE detector, which consists of two induction planes and one collection sense wire plane with a total of 8256 wires.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biobleach boosting effect of recombinant xylanase B from the hyperthermophilic Thermotoga maritima on wheat straw pulp.

TL;DR: The recombinant xylanase B (XynB) of Thermotoga maritima MSB8 was found to be highly specific towards xylans and exhibit very low activity towards carboxymethylcellulose in previous study and the suitability of XynB for use in the biobleaching of wheat straw pulp was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of light-by-light scattering and search for axion-like particles with 2.2 nb$^{-1}$ of Pb+Pb data with the ATLAS detector

Georges Aad, +2996 more
TL;DR: In this article, a measurement of light-by-light scattering based on Pb+Pb collision data recorded by the ATLAS experiment during Run 2 of the LHC is described.
Journal ArticleDOI

Measurement of jet fragmentation in Pb+Pb and pp collisions at √sNN=5.02 TeV with the ATLAS detector

Morad Aaboud, +2972 more
- 16 Aug 2018 -
TL;DR: In this paper, a measurement of jet fragmentation functions in 0.49 nb−1 of Pb+Pb collisions at √sNN=5.02 TeV collected in 2015 with the ATLAS detector at the LHC is presented.
