15 Aug 2018TL;DR: Pengembangan as mentioned in this paper bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan karakteristik modul pembelajaran IPA berbasis High Order Thinking Skill (HOTS).
Abstract: Pembelajaran IPA masih belum banyak mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa.

09 Feb 2016TL;DR: In this paper, laboratory prepared Maghemite nanoparticles (γ-Fe2O3) with average size of 9 1/2nm were incorporated to the bidisperse MR fluids comprising carbonyl iron (CI) to reduce the sedimentation rate of the MR fluids.
Abstract: Magnetorheological (MR) fluids consisted of micron-size particles generally often faces the instability problem due to the large density mismatch between the large particulate matter and continuous oil medium. Recently, researches have been conducted on the advantages of bidisperse MR fluids that is a mixture of micron and nano-sized magnetic particles. In this work, laboratory prepared maghemite nanoparticles (γ-Fe2O3) with average size of 9 nm were incorporated to the MR fluids comprising carbonyl iron (CI) to reduce the sedimentation rate of the MR fluids. Three different fluids with the same solid concentration of 80.98% have been prepared to contain 5 and 10% substitution of γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles to the CI particles and the monodisperse CI particles for comparison purpose. The sedimentation rate was measured by optical tracking of the interface between the carrier liquid and particle suspension that formed in the fluids over time. The rheological properties of the bidisperse MR fluids were investigat...

03 Oct 2019TL;DR: Morphological characterization of Coelogyne spp for germplasm conservation of orchids and its applications in plant conservation is described.
Abstract: Orchid is one of the ornamental plant that has a high aesthetic value. Efforts to increase the quality of orchids can be done by genetic improvement through crossing. The first step to success in orchid crossing requires information on morphological characters of the prospective parents. This study aims to determine the similarity of six species of natural Coelogyne spp based on qualitative morphological characters. Morphological characterization of 6 orchids was carried out based on 30 characters including stem, leaf, flower, pseudobulb, and rooting type. Cluster analysis was carried out with the NTSYSpc program version 2.02i with the UPGMA SimQual function method. The results showed that there were morphological diversities among the six Coelogyne spp on the character of the stem, pseudobulb, leaves, flowers and type of roots. Based on the dendrogram on 73% similarity, three major groups were obtained. The first group consisted of Coelogyne pandurata and Coelogyne rumphii, the second group was C. massangeana, C. mayeriana and C asperata, the third group was C. celebensis. Based on the morphological similarity of 87% there are two pairs of parents that have most successful chance to be crossed, C. pandurata with C. rumphii and C. mayeriana with C. asperata.

TL;DR: In this paper, a study aimed to test the effectiveness of the research and development product of Problem-Based Learning module of environmental changes in empowering students’ creative thinking skills.
Abstract: Creative thinking skills are important for long-term success. Empowering creative thinking skills which can be trained through problem-solving activities in learning, thereby promoting high cognitive engagement. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of the research and development product of Problem-Based Learning module of environmental changes in empowering students’ creative thinking skills. The research method used was the Quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The sample of the research was the tenth-graders of a Senior High School in Karanganyar district, Central Java. The sampling was cluster sampling by involving two classes, namely the Grade X-MIA 1 with 28 students and the X-MIA 4 with 28 students. The qualitative and quantitative-descriptive approaches were used to analyze the data. The result shows the mean of creative thinking skills score of experiment group is higher than the control group. This developed module could empower students’ creative thinking skills by problem-solving activities as needed for Indonesian educational goal . The study concludes that development module was constructed based on Problem-based Learning activities in the module could stimulate students solved and identified the problems with their ideas and developed their creative thinking.

TL;DR: The authors discusses illocution on speech acts of foreign students in Indonesian language learning and aims to describe the forms of illocutions done by the Indonesian Language students, using observation, interviews, and documentation methods to collect data.
Abstract: This research discusses illocution on speech acts of foreign students in Indonesian Language learning. Illocution is a speech that shows the state of language relating to the situation in general and aims to express something from the speaker to the partner. This research aims to describe the forms of illocution done by the Indonesian Language students. This is a qualitative study. Observation, interviews, and documentation methods are used to collect data. The data are the utterances containing illocutionary force (assertive, declaration, directives, commissive, and expressive) in learning activities. The data source in this research is the speech acts of a foreign student in Indonesian Language learning.
