TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of climate change on agri-cultural production and farmer's adaptation strategies in drought-prone land in Semarang district in Java, Indonesia was investigated.
Abstract: The objectives of research were to find out the influence of climate change on agricultural production and farmer’s adaptation strategies in drought-prone land in Semarang district. The data used in this research are primary data collected through interviews and observations. Simple random sampling is used to take sample of this research. The sample in this research were 90 farmers in the village Jatirunggo, 27 of them are farmers in drought-prone areas and 63 farmers in normal areas. Based on the results of a log linear regression analysis, showed that the variables: land, capital, labor, and farmers' group membership are influence the agricultural production positively and significant. While drought areas is influenced negatively. The results of logistic regression analysis showed that the farmers in drought areas, gender, farmer group membership, and the use of fertilizer has a significant influence on the chances of crop failure. While farmers who suffered a decline in product agricultural, and farmers in drought areas have a significant influence on farmers’ decision opportunities in changing cropping patterns and shifting the time of planting as a form of adapting the climate changes.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects on the structural and chemical properties of doped titanium dioxide thin films were investigated and the anatase phase of the thin films was observed and the crystal size became smaller when the concentration of thin film increased.
Abstract: In this research, pure titanium dioxide (TiO2) and doped TiO2 thin film layers were prepared using the spin coating method of titanium(IV) butoxide on a glass substrate from the sol–gel method and annealed at 500 °C. The effects on the structural and chemical properties of these thin films were then investigated. The metal doped TiO2 thin film which exists as trivalent electrons consists of aluminium (Al), yttrium (Y) and gadolinium (Gd). The anatase phase of the thin films was observed and it was found that the crystal size became smaller when the concentration of thin film increased. The grain size was found to be 0.487 to 13.925 nm. The types of surface morphologies of the thin films were nanoporous, with a little agglomeration and smaller nanoparticles corresponding to Al doped TiO2, Y doped TiO2 and Gd doped TiO2, respectively. The trivalent doping concentration of the thin films increased with a rising of thickness of the thin film. This can contribute to the defects that give advantages to the thin film when the mobility of the hole carriers is high and the electrons of Ti can move easily. Thus, Ti3+ existed as a defect state in the metal doped TiO2 thin film based on lattice distortion with a faster growth thin film that encouraged the formation of a higher level of oxygen vacancy defects.

TL;DR: The pattern of TB case management practices among private GPs in Indonesia is still not in line with the guidelines, despite longstanding awareness of the issue and considerable trialing of various interventions.
Abstract: Private practitioners (PPs) in high-burden countries often provide substandard tuberculosis (TB) treatment, leading to increased risk of drug resistance and continued transmission. TB case management among PPs in Indonesia has not been investigated in recent years, despite longstanding recognition of inadequate care and substantial investment in several initiatives. This study aimed to assess case management practices of private general practitioners (GPs) in eight major cities across Indonesia. A cross-sectional survey of private GPs was carried out simultaneously in eight cities by trained researchers between August and December 2011. We aimed for a sample size of 627 in total, and took a simple random sample of GPs from the validated local registers of GPs. Informed consent was obtained from participants prior to interview. Diagnostic and treatment practices were evaluated based on compliance with national guidelines. Descriptive statistics are presented. Of 608 eligible GPs invited to participate during the study period, 547 (89.9 %) consented and completed the interview. A low proportion of GPs (24.6–74.3 %) had heard of the International Standards for TB care (ISTC) and only 41.2–68.9 % of these GPs had participated in ISTC training. As few as 47.3 % (90 % CI: 37.6–57.0 %) of GPs reported having seen presumptive TB. The median number of cases of presumptive TB seen per month was low (0–5). The proportion of GPs who utilized smear microscopy for diagnosing presumptive adult TB ranged from 62.3 to 84.6 %. In all cities, a substantial proportion of GPs (12.0–45.5 %) prescribed second-line anti-TB drugs for treating new adult TB cases. In nearly all cities, less than half of GPs appointed a treatment observer (13.8–52.0 %). The pattern of TB case management practices among private GPs in Indonesia is still not in line with the guidelines, despite longstanding awareness of the issue and considerable trialing of various interventions.

TL;DR: In this article, the importance of financial literacy and materialism attitudes in affecting individual's financial behavior was discussed and the results showed that financial literacy has positive and significant contribution on financial behavior.
Abstract: Otoritas Jasa Keuangan ( OJK) focus on improving financial behavior is through financial education program. This study discusses the importance of financial literacy and materialism attitudes in affecting individual’s financial behaviour. Using survey on 129 undergraduates of Economic Education, financial literacy and materialism being factor in affecting behaviour finance. The result of research shows that financial literacy has positive and significant contribution on financial behaviour. It can be seen from the original sample value is 0.244 and t-value 2.319 > 1.96. In addition materialism has a positive and significant contribution on financial behaviour with the original sample value is -0.583 and t-value 6.666 > 1.96. Undergraduates with high financial literacy has good financial behaviour, and undergraduates with low materialism tends can hold an activity related to the purchase of consumer goods and services. Moreover, the significance of financial literacy and self-efficacy has important implications for the development of policies that aim to improve financial behaviour among college students in financial education programs.
