TL;DR: The goal of this paper is to propose an approach to resolve disagreements among MCDM methods based on Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, and the experimental results prove that the proposed approach can resolve conflicting M CDM rankings and reach an agreement among different MCDm methods.
Abstract: Classification algorithm selection is an important issue in many disciplines. Since it normally involves more than one criterion, the task of algorithm selection can be modeled as multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) problems. Different MCDM methods evaluate classifiers from different aspects and thus they may produce divergent rankings of classifiers. The goal of this paper is to propose an approach to resolve disagreements among MCDM methods based on Spearman's rank correlation coefficient. Five MCDM methods are examined using 17 classification algorithms and 10 performance criteria over 11 public-domain binary classification datasets in the experimental study. The rankings of classifiers are quite different at first. After applying the proposed approach, the differences among MCDM rankings are largely reduced. The experimental results prove that the proposed approach can resolve conflicting MCDM rankings and reach an agreement among different MCDM methods.

TL;DR: In this article, a P-doped Co3O4 nanowire array on nickel foam was developed for water splitting using low-temperature annealing, using NaH2PO2 as the P source.
Abstract: It is vitally essential to design highly efficient and cost-effective bifunctional electrocatalysts toward water splitting. Herein, we report the development of P-doped Co3O4 nanowire array on nickel foam (P-Co3O4/NF) from Co3O4 nanowire array through low-temperature annealing, using NaH2PO2 as the P source. As a 3D catalyst, such P-Co3O4/NF demonstrates superior performance for oxygen evolution reaction with a low overpotential (260 mV at 20 mA cm–2), a small Tafel slope (60 mV dec–1), and a satisfying durability in 1.0 M KOH. Density functional theory calculations indicate that P-Co3O4 has a reaction free-energy value that is much smaller than that of pristine Co3O4 for the potential determining step of the oxygen evolution reaction. Such P-Co3O4/NF also performs efficiently for hydrogen evolution reaction, and a two-electrode alkaline electrolyzer assembled by P8.6-Co3O4/NF as both anode and cathode needs only 1.63 V to reach a water-splitting current of 10 mA cm–2.

TL;DR: A facile synthesis method of nanoscale Fe3O4/graphene capsules (GCs) composites using the combination of catalytic chemical vapor deposition (CCVD) and hydrothermal process offers an effective way to design high-performance functional materials to facilitate the research in electromagnetic shielding and microwave absorption.
Abstract: Graphene has good stability and adjustable dielectric properties along with tunable morphologies, and hence can be used to design novel and high-performance functional materials. Here, we have reported a facile synthesis method of nanoscale Fe3O4/graphene capsules (GCs) composites using the combination of catalytic chemical vapor deposition (CCVD) and hydrothermal process. The resulting composite has the advantage of unique morphology that offers better synergism among the Fe3O4 particles as well as particles and GCs. The microwave-absorbing characteristics of developed composites were investigated through experimentally measured electromagnetic properties and simulation studies based on the transmission line theory, explained on the basis of eddy current, natural and exchange resonance, as well as dielectric relaxation processes. The composites bear minimum RL value of −32 dB at 8.76 GHz along with the absorption bandwidth range from 5.4 to 17 GHz for RL lower than −10 dB. The better performance of the c...

TL;DR: A family of H-indices are obtained that can be used to measure a node's importance and it is proved that the convergence to coreness can be guaranteed even under an asynchronous updating process, allowing a decentralized local method of calculating a nodes' coreness in large-scale evolving networks.
Abstract: Identifying influential nodes in dynamical processes is crucial in understanding network structure and function. Degree, H-index and coreness are widely used metrics, but previously treated as unrelated. Here we show their relation by constructing an operator , in terms of which degree, H-index and coreness are the initial, intermediate and steady states of the sequences, respectively. We obtain a family of H-indices that can be used to measure a node's importance. We also prove that the convergence to coreness can be guaranteed even under an asynchronous updating process, allowing a decentralized local method of calculating a node's coreness in large-scale evolving networks. Numerical analyses of the susceptible-infected-removed spreading dynamics on disparate real networks suggest that the H-index is a good tradeoff that in many cases can better quantify node influence than either degree or coreness.
